Ciara<\/h2>\n\n\n

Ciara is a third-year History student at Newcastle University, recently returned from a year abroad in Sydney, Australia. She has a passion for talking to people from all walks of life and is especially excited to chat with guests from across the Newcastle University community. With a keen interest in music and news journalism, Ciara has gained experience at her local radio station and is looking forward to bringing curiosity and conversation to the podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teagan<\/h2>\n\n\n

Teagan is in Stage 2 of a Combined Honours degree in Spanish and Geography and is particularly interested in cross-, multi-, and interdisciplinary thought, and keen to step outside of academic comfort zones. Outside of university, free time tends to go towards music, cooking, learning additional languages, and picking up new crafts and knowledge wherever possible. <\/p>\n\n\n

Callum<\/h2>\n\n\n

Callum is a second-year Combined Honours student studying Media and Communication, Politics and Classics. His career aspiration is to become a television presenter, reporting on current affairs. While at university, Callum has avidly tried to get involved in as many extracurriculars as possible. These include the theatre society, student media and tennis. In his spare time, Callum also volunteers for a community radio station. <\/p>\n\n\n

Pari<\/h2>\n\n\n

\"A<\/figure><\/div>\n\n

Pari is a third-year MBiol Zoology student with plans to move into environmental law, driven by a passion for science journalism and STEM outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n

Excited to share the best of her hometown, she makes Newcastle University\u2019s research feel even more relatable on From Newcastle, highlighting a range of inspiring stories and the people leading the way in their field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eden<\/h2>\n\n\n

Eden is a final-year English language and linguistics student at Newcastle University. <\/p>\n\n\n

She recently returned from a summer camp in the US, where she managed social media. In her free time, she enjoys practising gymnastics and participating in the student radio.<\/p>\n\n\n

Isaac<\/h2>\n\n\n
\n
\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

Isaac is a 2nd-year English Literature with Creative Writing student. His passions lie in writing poetry and screenplays alongside acting, public speaking and all things words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is no stranger to the stage, with acting roles in ‘Les Mis’, ‘Oliver’, ‘The Sound of Music’ and Newcastle University\u2019s Theatre Society. He also guest starred in ‘Good Morning Emmanuel’, a podcast for his previous school, so feels at home talking live. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naturally curious, he welcomes the opportunity to chat with interesting individuals on ‘From Newcastle’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robyn<\/h2>\n\n\n

From Brighton, Robyn is a second-year International Relations student here at Newcastle University with a particular interest in broadcast journalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her spare time, she has spent time interviewing top Sky News correspondents on a range of topics from current affairs to sporting fixtures, as well as gaining work experience with Channel 4 News<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yasmin<\/h2>\n\n\n

\"A<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

Yasmin is a final year Law student here at Newcastle University. She has just returned from a year studying abroad in Barcelona where she developed her interest in broadcasting and presenting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yasmin has a particular interest in sports broadcasting and has spent time with Sky Sports and TalkSport Radio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

James<\/h2>\n\n\n

Hailing from Lancashire, James is a Human Geography student here at Newcastle University with a particular interest in Geopolitics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his spare time he is a passionate musician and street photographer, and has a regular Wednesday slot on Newcastle Student Radio. He has also hosted national radio shows with the Student Radio Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Izzy<\/h2>\n\n\n

\"A<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

Izzy is a third-year student studying English Literature with Media and Communication at Newcastle University. She is currently Station Manager at Newcastle Student Radio, where she hosts a lunchtime, pop-based radio show. In addition to this, she volunteers at her local radio station Ribble FM, where she presents two music radio shows and reports on district news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only a presenter, she also has numerous interviews under her belt, from local businessmen to pop-bands, such as Bastille. Podcasts have always been a huge passion for her as she has co-hosted the Newcastle based \u2018Students of the Toon Podcast\u2019 and cannot wait to embark on more academic interviews with \u2018From Newcastle\u2019 scholars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
